Healthy structure, healthy function

Osteopathy was founded by Andrew Taylor Still in the late 1800's. Dr Still's system was based on the body's ability to achieve and maintain health together with methods for resolving mechanical and other inhibiting factors to free the inherent self-corrective energies.

The core of any osteopathic intervention is a treatment plan based on diagnosis which follows a detailed history and examination.

Listening to facilitate change

Dr William G Sutherland, while studying the structure of the cranium, discovered that the whole body, including the skull, expresses a rhythmic motion palpable to the hand

Dr Sutherland gave us a system of healing based on listening to the body and using light intention to release the body's structural issues and with it your tendency to health

Due to its gentleness the cranial approach is indicated at times when the structure is delicate, such as during pregnancy, and in the very young and elderly.

However, the approach is as powerful as it is gentle and involves listening to the body story and providing and holding a space in which blockages and conflicts can resolve down to the deepest level
