Trujillo is off the A5 trunk road (Carretera de Extremadura) connecting Madrid to Lisbon, 268km by road from Madrid airport

From the airport follow the signs to the circular M40 travelling south-west (clockise). You will eventually see signs for the Avenida de Extremadura / A5 to Badajoz

The road will take you directly to Trujillo. Look out for the turn off to your right 35km (approx) after crossing the only tunnel en-route
