Airport To Hotel Transfers
We can arrange airport to hotel transfer by private car for a minimum of 3 participants
The cost for the 269km /167 miles trajectory is currently €98 one way per person. (For comparison, a metered taxi will charge you €400 for the journey)
Due to fluctuations in the price of fuel the above may be subject to variation. Please inquire at the time of booking
Please book your flights to arrive / depart by:
With car hire starting from €135 for 6 days and Trujillo on a straight road from Madrid, self-drive is an option you may want to consider
Trujillo is off the A5 trunk road (Carretera de Extremadura) connecting Madrid to Lisbon, 269km (167 miles) from Madrid airport
From the airport, follow the circular M40 clockwise (south-westerly) for the A5 to Badajoz. Look out for the Trujillo turn-off on your right, 35km after crossing the “Miravete” tunnel

Airport Transfers
If you find arriving in a foreign country disorientating this may be the option for you
We can provide this optional service in either direction with a minimum of x3 participants
As of Jan 2023 the fare is €98 per person one way
Outbound
Our default rendezvous is at 5:00pm at the main exit in the arrivals hall in terminal 4. The time and Terminal may be altered by unanimous consent from all passengers
Please book your flights to arrive no later than 3:30pm for T4 and 2:30pm for other terminals
Inbound
The default rendezvous is 11am from your hotel. It is possible to change the time with unanimous consent from all travelers and your driver
Please book your return flights to depart no earlier than 4pm for all terminals
Inter-Terminal Transfers
There is a free transit bus between terminals 1, 2, 3 & 4 available 24/7

Arrival
Please let Alfonso know whether you prefer to be dropped off at the Yoga Retreat or your hotel. We will walk you and your luggage to / from your hotel which will be no more than 5 minutes away

INDEPENDENT TRAVEL
runs multiple daily services from Estación Sur, in Mendez Álvaro, direct to Trujillo
There is one daily service in each direction to / from Barajas airport Terminals 1 & 4. While economical, it makes for a rather long a bus journey. We find it’s much more comfortable to make your way to Estación Sur, rest, freshen up and enjoy the rest of your journey

From the airport, take
- line 8 to Nuevos Ministeros, then
- line 6 in the direction of Plaza Elíptica to Méndez Álvaro
Journey time: 45-50 mins
Please use only licensed taxis from the taxi rank
There is a flat fare of €30 from all airport terminals to central Madrid, including Estación Sur in Méndez Álvaro
Journey time: about 20 mins
is displayed in English as well as Spanish on the main board in the ticket – catering hall on the first floor
Buses to Trujillo terminate at Cáceres, Badajoz or Lisbon
The boarding bays are on the ground floor below the ticket hall
Please show your driver your printed or electronic ticket along with your passport or other id on boarding. Your seat number is labelled “plaza” on your ticket
El Baciyelmo and Eurostars run a free shuttle to and from the bus station on request
Otherwise we can meet you at the bus station and escort you and your luggage on the short walk to your hotel
Buffet dinner is served from 8pm till late
I you’re in any way delayed we will
- make sure to save something for you to eat on arrival
- check-in and collect your hotel keys on your behalf
- meet you at the bus station and escort you to your hotel
